Sibos 2026

A Chainlink Node Operators Perspective

While following Sibos 2026, two things were impossible to overlook: the scale of Chainlink’s presence and the significance of its announcements.

For DexTrac, Chainlink’s Sibos announcements fall into two groups: those with immediate implications for the team and those that open up potentially huge opportunities for our future.

Let’s start with the here and the now: CCIP 2.0.

DexTrac has helped secure CCIP since its mainnet launch in 2023. So why is 2.0 such a big deal?

Simple. It’s designed to help institutions and asset issuers securely manage regulated capital across public and private blockchains.

CCIP 2.0 adds options for additive security, built-in compliance functionality and user attestations.

For more detail on these and other 2.0 advances, take a look at the official Chainlink announcement: https://chain.link/blog/introducing-ccip-2-0

To finish, and in Chainlink’s own words, CCIP 2.0 is

“laying the rails for hundreds of trillions of dollars in capital from existing financial systems to flow on-chain.”

What’s not to be excited about?

Bottomline

Second on our list was a ten-second video clip featuring Natasha Lapierre, Global Head of Product Strategy and Innovation at Bottomline.

Her message was simple:

“Together Bottomline & Chainlink are bringing the on-chain capabilities that banks will need tomorrow, inside the systems where their payments live today” — Watch the clip

For context, Bottomline moves more than $16 trillion in payments annually across its platforms, serves more than 600 banks and is a top-three Swift service provider.

Bottomline had previously announced a strategic partnership with Chainlink to enable cross-chain, cross-border payments for its 600+ bank customers.

That earlier announcement specifically highlighted CCIP enabling tokenized value to move securely across chains, and Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) coordinating payment workflows end to end.

Again, what’s not to get excited about? And yes, in case you were wondering DexTrac also supports CRE.

Fulcrum

Moving into the future opportunity category, we have to mention Fulcrum.

“A new end-to-end solution for institutional financing and collateral management across public and private blockchains.”

At first, we perhaps underestimated its significance. Digging deeper, the potential looks…….. enormous.

For many institutions, borrowing and lending against securities is everyday business. With Fulcrum, Chainlink aims to help that same activity work across blockchains.

For reference, daily repo figures alone are staggering: New York Fed researchers cite estimates that dealers borrowed $3.7 trillion per day in U.S. repo markets in late 2024.

For DexTrac, seeing new institutional uses emerge for the Chainlink infrastructure we help operate is hugely exciting.

Of course, the Fulcrum fun doesn’t end there. On stage at Sibos, Chainlink’s Sergey Nazarov and DTCC’s Dan Doney demonstrated how Fulcrum executed a cross-chain securities financing transaction, showing how their teams are collaborating to advance 24/7 collateral management.

A collaboration worth watching in the coming months.

Presence

Finally, we must briefly discuss Chainlink’s presence at Sibos. Sergey Nazarov, Andrew McCormick, William Riley and others seemed to be everywhere: delivering talks, contributing to panel discussions, giving live demonstrations and taking part in interviews.

Chainlink did not appear to be playing a supporting role at the conference. On the contrary, from our perspective, they brought real gravitas to the proceedings, real impetus and real-world momentum.

It was fantastic to see our closest partner having such a visible influence at such a prestigious event.

Truly exciting.

So Much More

There’s so much more we could cover: there were mentions of Chainlink Data Streams and Data Feeds that we support, further work on compliance and privacy. But we don’t want to keep you reading for another hour or two.

Suffice to say, Sibos 2026 felt hugely consequential. Even from afar, it felt different.

TradFi and DeFi drawing closer. Venerable institutions and a new generation of Web3 builders working together. Partnerships, advances and practical use cases kept stacking up.

Our space is evolving faster than we could have hoped.

And oh, does it feel good to be part of this epic evolution.
